True Match T8 Lamps |
|
|
Kino Flo has expanded its award winning line of full spectrum fluorescent lamps to address the growing demand for high color rendering lighting in today’s energy conserving T8 commercial and residential fixtures.
The Kino Flo T8’s deliver the same broad color spectrum that has become the mainstay for the motion picture and photographic industries. When used as set practicals, for normal office or home environments, the Kino Flo T8 lamps color reproduction is second to none. Corporate teleconferencing or simple video chatting at your computer will benefit from the high color rendering, natural light quality not found in off-the shelf fluorescents.
Kino Flo T8 lamps are available in daylight and tungsten, and come in 4ft (1200mm) lengths. The KF32 model is a warm tone lamp designed to match incandescent light. The KF55 model is designed to match daylight.

Barfly 400 joins Kino Flo's range of thin profile fixtures |
|
|
|
The BarFly 400 joins a special family of thin profile Kino Flo fixtures that can display soft, cool beauty light for HD and film productions. The BarFly 400 system boasts the same 2” depth as the BarFly 200, but doubles the light output. Using Kino Flo’s new True Match® 55 Watt QFL daylight and tungsten lamps, it’s brighter than a 1,000 Watt tungsten soft light, but draws only 2 amps of power on 230VAC.
The BarFly 400 is most at home on location and studio sets for television and feature film production, but many in the electronic field production and ENG community have discovered it for a small, two point or three point lighting kit to complement such popular location lighting instruments as the Kino Flo Diva-Lites. |

Vista Single - New high output lighting System |
|
|
|
The new Vista Single location lighting system owes its unique high output beam of soft light to a special lamp and reflector design. Kino Flo has married its hi-lumen 96 Watt lamp with an intensifying, parabolic reflector that produces a Soft Beam twice as bright as the Kino Flo 4ft Single System.
The Vista Single combines this efficient output (first used in our ParaBeams and VistaBeams) with fixture, lamp and electronic ballast design features much like those that won Kino Flo an Academy Award for technical achievement for its modular designs.
Vista Single features include :
- Built-in Barndoors
- Removable Reflector, Louver and Lamp Harness
- Twist-on Center Mount
- Lamp Harness w/ rigging points
- True Match® daylight, tungsten lamps
- High output Ballast
- HO/Standard switching
- Flicker-free, remote operation
- Instant-on, dead quite

Kino Flo BarFly Softlights Create Industry Buzz |
|
|
|
Kino Flo has released a new line of wafer-thin, high output soft lights small enough of it in the palm of your hand but bright enough to light a sound stage.
The BarFly® fixtures are available for sale in two slender models: the BarFly 200 (two tubes), and BarFly 100 (a single tube). The BarFly 400 will go on sale in spring of 2007. The BarFly’s operate very much like the Academy Award winning portable 4banks, doubles and singles: they have remote, select high output ballasts and slim, lightweight heads that can work in tight locations where larger, hotter conventional fixtures don’t dare to tread. The difference really is in size and shape.
The BarFly’s are only about an inch thick and comes with metal, rather than poly-shell designs. A four-tube BarFly 400, for example, looks like a flat panel computer monitor. The 400 measures about 12 inches by 12 inches, but puts out almost as much light as it larger 4ft 4Bank cousin.
Currently, the BarFly family is most at home on location and studio sets for television and feature film production, but many in the electronic field production and ENG community have discovered it for a small, two point or three point lighting kit to complement such popular location lighting instruments as the Kino Flo Diva-Lite® 400 and Diva-Lite® 200. Kino Flo has developed new, high color rendering (CRI 95), high-output quad tubes for the BarFly fixtures. They are the first of their kind in the television or motion picture professional lighting industries, and come in True Match® daylight and TrueMatch® tungsten balanced styles. |
The latest Diva-Lite 400 and 200 cool lights boast Kino Flo’s trademark modular fixture designs with full-range dimming, switching and remote control features. The Universal model can be used anywhere in the world, from 90VAC to 265VAC. Diva-Lite 400 and 200 fixtures are versatile, controllable, portable fixtures designed for the rigors location work. All Diva-Lites can go from nighttime to daytime interiors by switching True Match® for daylight quality lamps. It’s like having two lighting set-ups in one kit.
“When we invented the Diva-Lite in the mid 1990’s, we didn’t anticipate that the light would be so popular outside the video community for which it was designed,” said Frieder Hochheim, founder and president of Kino Flo. “Diva-Lites are still strongest in the digital video and HD markets, but they continue to find favor with productions shot on film.”
