In the two decades since Kino Flo began making it’s unique blend soft light and modular portable lighting systems, we have tried to anticipate as well as respond to the changes in our industry. Kino Flo’s humble, expendable paper and aluminum-hinged fixtures in 1987 evolved to durable polypropylene models. We expanded our studio offerings with an entire family of high-output, cool fixtures that now hang on news sets around the world. We were the first to design specialized location lights for professional and semiprofessional video work. We are still the only manufacturer in our industry to produce a trademark line of lamps, True Match® lamps, that set the standard for high output, flicker free, color stable fluorescents.

Kino Flo takes pride in working closely with the creative community to come up with new products and to refine the time-tested standards. Two of the most popular new products to emerge from our design studios are the award winning VistaBeam 600 and the BarFly 200 and 100 kits. All levels of production have seen changes in camera technology broaden the lighting palette, especially for HD image capture. Kino Flo’s unique soft light and professional color quality have become the darling of many HD productions, but none more so than the Kino Flo 4Bank Systems and other portable location lights and Diva-Lite 400 kits. For TV news broadcast and video studios, the ParaBeams ,ParaZips and Image fixtures capture more of the TV news broadcast industry’s attention every year.

These past 20 years have been a challenging and rewarding time to work in the creative end of film and TV production. We look forward to working with you for another 20 as well.
